Adelphia Dane Bowen, Jr. (January 26, 1927 – July 18, 2011) was an American career diplomat, Professor Emeritus of History and Economics of Lock Haven University of Pennsylvania, published genealogist. He served (1955–80) successively in U.S. Embassies in Switzerland, Paraguay, Sweden, Ecuador, Guatemala, and the Dominican Republic. He was National Security Advisor for Latin America to Treasury Secretaries John Connally, George Shultz, and William E. Simon. In President Jimmy Carter's State Department he was Deputy Coordinator and Acting Coordinator of Cuban Affairs.
