Abul Kasem Fazlul Huq (Bengali: আবুল কাশেম ফজলুল হক, Urdu: ابو القاسم فضل الحق‎; 26 October 1873 — 27 April 1962) popularly known as Sher-e-Bangla (Tiger of Bengal), was a Bengali statesman and jurist who served as the first Prime Minister of Bengal and later as the Home Minister of Pakistan. A key figure in Pakistan Movement, widely remembered for presenting Pakistan Resolution, he played major political roles in British India and later in Pakistan (including East Pakistan, today's Bangladesh) and held various other political offices.
