Aditya Dhar (born 12 March 1983) is an Indian director, screenwriter and lyricist who works in Hindi films. He started his career as a writer and lyricist for Kabul Express, Aakrosh and Haal-e-Dil. Dhar made his directorial debut in 2019 with the war film Uri: The Surgical Strike which he also co-wrote. The film received high critical acclaim and ranks among the highest-grossing Hindi films of all time. It won him the National Film Award for Best Director and the Filmfare Award for Best Debut Director.
