Akl Awit (Arabic: عقل العويط‎ born 1952, Bziza) is a Lebanese poet, critic, literary journalist and academic professor. He is the editing director of the MULHAK, the weekly cultural supplement of the daily Lebanese newspaper An-Nahar. He has published eight poetry books in Beirut, and an anthology of his works has appeared in Cairo in 2002. His ninth poetry collection is in production. His poems have been translated from Arabic into many foreign languages, and have been published in various magazines and anthologies throughout France, England, Italy, Spain and Germany.
