Álvaro Enrigue (born 6 August 1969 in Guadalajara, Mexico) is a Mexican novelist, short-story writer, and essayist. Considered one of the most significant writers in contemporary literature in the Spanish language, Enrigue is an award-winning author of six novels, three books of short stories, and one book of essays.
