Andrew J. Young (December 28, 1837 - January 27, 1910) was an American soldier who fought in the American Civil War. Young received his country's highest award for bravery during combat, the Medal of Honor. Young's medal was won for capturing a Confederate flag at Paines Crossroads, Virginia, on April 5, 1865. He was honored with the award on May 3, 1865.
