The Rt. Rev Anthony John Burton was an Anglican bishop in the last decade of the 20th century and the first one of the 21st. Born 11 on August 1959, educated at Trinity College, Toronto and ordained in 1987 he was initially a Curate at St John the Baptist, North Sydney, Nova Scotia. Next he was Rector of Trinity Church, Sydney Mines and then a Canon Residentiary at the Cathedral Church of St Alban the Martyr, Saskatchewan. After this he was Dean of Saskatchewan and then its Diocesan Bishop from 1993 to 2008.
