Art Cruz (born May 27, 1988, in Downey, California) is an American drummer playing for the metal band Prong (since 2012) and the deathcore/symphonic metal band Winds of Plague (2008-2012, since 2015). Cruz plays drums since the year 2002. He learned to drum while being in South El Monte High School from 2004 to 2006. In 2008 he joined Winds of Plague and recorded the album The Great Stone War with them which peaked on #72 in the Billboard 200. 2011 he performed on the next album, Against the World, which peaked at #60 in the Billboard 200. In 2012 Cruz left Winds of Plague "due to creative differences" and he was asked to play for Prong. He toured with them and recorded the covers album Songs from the Black Hole. Since 2015 he is drumming for Winds of Plague again in addition to his engagement for Prong.
