Arthur Robert Emmett, AO, QC (born 1943, Crows Nest, New South Wales) is an Australian judge and has been a member of the New South Wales Court of Appeal since 7 March 2013. From 1997 until 2013 he was a judge of the Federal Court of Australia. Prior to 1997 he had a career in private legal practice as a barrister and solicitor. His wife is Federal Circuit Court judge Sylvia Emmett (née Street), daughter of the late Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of New South Wales, Sir Laurence Street.
