Augustus R. Barrows (also known as A. R. Barrows) (July 30, 1838 – December 20, 1885) was an American lumberman from Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin who spent one term as an independent Greenbacker member of the Wisconsin State Assembly from Chippewa County, serving as the Speaker of the Wisconsin State Assembly even though his party held only 13 of 100 seats therein. He later moved to Montana, where he became a rancher, and ran a saloon-hotel, a general store, and a sawmill.
