Bonbehari Vishnu Nimbkar (17 July 1931 — 25 August 2021) was an Indian agricultural scientist and social worker, known for his pioneering work in the fields of animal husbandry and agriculture. He is the founder of Nimbkar Agricultural Research Institute, a Phaltan-based non governmental organization engaged in research and development in animal husbandry and agriculture. The Government of India awarded him the fourth highest civilian honour of the Padma Shri, in 2006, for his contributions to Indian agricultural sector. In November 2016 he was given the Jamnalal Bajaj Award for application of science and technology for rural applications.
