Aboon Mor Baselios Paulose I or Murimattathil Bava (born at Kolenchery, India on 17 January 1836, died 2 May 1913) was the first Catholicos of the East after its reinstatement in India. The First Catholicos of the Malankara Syriac Orthodox Church was in power only for one-and-a-half years (15 September 1912 till his death on 3 May 1914). He was 76 years old when he became the Catholicos; he died the next year.
