Beate A. Schücking, (born January 14, 1956) is the 968th President of Leipzig University and Professor of Health Science and Psychosocial Medicine. She is the author of numerous articles and papers on aspects of scientific research and professional education. Schücking is also the first woman to become Leipzig University President since its founding in 1409.
