William Spence (1929–1993) was an English football player. He was a defender who played for Queens Park Rangers and Portsmouth F.C.. Spence made 16 appearances during Portsmouth's title winning year 1949-50. He transferred to Queens Park Rangers in 1951 for a fee of £8000, but was forced to retire with a knee injury 3 years later. He went on to become a successful businessman. He retired to Spain and died of cancer in 1993 aged 64.
