Captan Jack Wyly, Sr. (December 30, 1917 – July 14, 2006), was a colorful attorney in Lake Providence, Louisiana, who in the 1960s and 1970s was a leader of conservatives within his state's dominant Democratic Party. He was known for his 1960s-style suits and hats. His massive wealth enabled him to act as a power broker over nearly every aspect of Lake Providence affairs.
