Chief of Army Staff (abbreviated as CAS) (Bengali: সেনাবাহিনী প্রধান; Senabahini Pradhan) of Bangladesh Army, also known as Army Chief is the highest-ranking officer of the Bangladesh Army. The current Chief of Army Staff is General Aziz Ahmed The first Bangladesh army chief was Major General M. A. Rab during Bangladesh Independence War in 1971 while Colonel M. A. G. Osmani was the Commander in Chief of all Bangladesh Forces.
