Conor Burns MP (born 24 September 1972) is a British Conservative Party politician and Minister of State for International Trade. He is a former public relations executive. He was elected as the Member of Parliament (MP) for Bournemouth West at the 2010 general election . He was Parliamentary Private Secretary (PPS) to Secretary of State for Northern Ireland between 2010 and 2012, before resigning from the Government due to his opposition to the Lords Reform Bill. He served as Parliamentary Private Secretary to the Foreign Secretary until his resignation on 9 July 2018, following the resignation of his senior colleague Boris Johnson. Following Johnson's appointment as Prime Minister, Burns was made Minister of State for International Trade.
