Diane Carlson Evans (born 1946) is a former nurse in the United States Army during the Vietnam War and the founder of the Vietnam Women’s Memorial located at the Vietnam Veterans Memorial on the National Mall in Washington, D.C. In 1984, with the help of Minneapolis Sculptor Rodger M. Brodin, and Vietnam veterans Donna-Marie Boulay and Gerald C. Bender, the Vietnam Women’s Memorial Project was founded. Evans initiated and led the effort to completion.
