Martha Dianne Jones Bentley (born 1944) was the First Lady of Alabama from 2011 until 2015. Bentley was married to then-Governor of Alabama Robert J. Bentley until their divorce in September 2015, which ended their 50+ years of marriage. Bentley filed for divorce in August 2015 due to a cheating scandal involving the Governor. Following their divorce, the scandal led to Governor Bentley's resignation in April 2017.
