Dmitry Yurievich Pirog (pee-ROG; Russian: Дмитрий Юрьевич Пирог; born 27 June 1980) is a Russian politician and former professional boxer who competed from 2005 to 2012. In boxing he held the WBO middleweight title from 2010 to 2012, and although his career was cut short due to a debilitating back injury, he is one of the few professional boxers to win a world title and retire undefeated. He is also credited as the only boxer to stop Danny Jacobs, dealing Jacobs his first professional defeat and effectively ending his 20–0 winning streak. Being the only Russian boxer ever to hold the WBO Middleweight Championship, he never made to quarterfinals of the Russian national amateur boxing championships.
