Édouard-Victoire-Antoine Lalo (27 January 1823 – 22 April 1892) was a French composer. Easily, his most celebrated piece is Symphonie espagnole, in D, Opus 21, which consists of five movements and remains a popular work in the standard repertoire for violin and orchestra.
