Edwin Trevathan, M.D., M.P.H. is a U.S. physician, a child neurologist and pediatrician, who is currently the Dean of the Saint Louis University School of Public Health, where he is also a Professor of Community Health (Epidemiology). Prior to his move to his Dean position in September, 2010, he was Director of the National Center on Birth Defects and Developmental Disabilities at the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) in Atlanta Georgia. Prior to his appointment as a national center director at the CDC in 2007, Dr. Trevathan was Professor of Neurology and Pediatrics, and Director of the Division of Pediatric & Developmental Neurology at Washington University in St. Louis School of Medicine, and was Neurologist-in-Chief at St. Louis Children's Hospital.
