Eileen Scully, M.D., Ph.D. is an infectious disease physician at the Brigham and Women's and Massachusetts General Hospitals of Boston, Massachusetts, specializing in the infectious risk assessment of pacemaker implantations in the setting of asymptomatic bacteriuria. She is a summa cum laude graduate of the University of Notre Dame with degrees in biology and philosophy, and earned her medical degree and Ph.D. in immunobiology at Yale School of Medicine, focusing on T-cell immunity in West Nile Virus, publishing several papers on the subject. In 2005, she led the Chang Thang Plateau Himalayan Medical Expedition.
