Edythe Evelyn Gandy (September 4, 1920 – December 23, 2007) was an American politician who was the second female elected to a statewide office in Mississippi– that of Treasurer for the State of Mississippi. (The first was Nellah Massey Bailey, State Tax Collector - 1947) Later, she was elected insurance commissioner and 26th Lieutenant Governor of Mississippi.
