Fran Baker (maiden name McCoy, born in 1947 in Kansas City, Missouri) is an American novelist of thirteen romance novels in both the contemporary and historical subgenres. Eight of her novels have been translated into twenty languages and four of them have been Waldenbooks Bestsellers. She has also written a couple hundred articles, book reviews, author interviews, op-eds and humorous pieces. The Talk of the Town, set in 1930s America, will be released in hardcover September 2011.
