Frances Tarlton "Sissy" Farenthold (October 2, 1926 – September 26, 2021) was an American politician, attorney, activist, and educator. She is best known for her two campaigns for the office of Governor of Texas in 1972 and 1974, for being placed in nomination for the office of Vice President of the United States and finishing second at the 1972 Democratic National Convention, and she was elected as the first chair of the National Women's Political Caucus in 1973.
