Gail Adrienne Cobb (August 17, 1950 – September 20, 1974) was an American police officer from Washington, D.C., who was the first female police officer in the United States shot and killed while patrolling in the line of duty. She was also the first sworn female officer of the Metropolitan Police Department of the District of Columbia (MPDC) to have been killed in the line of duty.
