Gérard Araud (born February 20, 1953) is a French diplomat who served as Ambassador of France to the United States from 2014 to 2019. He has also served as France's Permanent Representative to the United Nations as well as Director General for Political and Security Affairs of the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Development.
