Grover Carr Furr III (born April 3, 1944) is an American professor of Medieval English literature at Montclair State University. Furr is chiefly known for historical denialism regarding the atrocities and crimes committed by Joseph Stalin in his works on the history of the Soviet Union. Furr, who has praised revisionist historians such as J. Arch Getty on the Soviet Union and scholars such as R. W. Davies, Mark Tauger, Stephen G. Wheatcroft on the Holodomor genocide question, holds fringe views regarding Soviet and Communist studies.
