Gunnar Johansson (born 1954) is a biochemist at the Uppsala University at Sweden. He is credited, along with Ishizaka's team, and Hans Bennic, for the discovery of a kind of antibody (or immunoglobulin) called IgE that mediates immunity to parasites and also has an essential role in type I hypersensitivity and allergic diseases.
