György Enyedi (August 25, 1930 – September 10, 2012) was an economist and geographer who has played a major role in the long-term development of regional science. In the second part of the 20th century due to the rapid development of integrative spatial sciences, regional science became an independent discipline - György Enyedi is a decisive figure in this process.
