Horace John Knowles ( 22nd July 1884 - 21st August 1954 ) was an author and illustrator. He is remembered mostly for magical depictions of Fairyland in his magnum opus Peeps into Fairyland, as well as for his biblical illustrations. For his first two published books, he collaborated with his brother Reginald L Knowles; these were Legends from Fairyland, published in 1908, and Norse Fairy Tales published in 1910.
