Hubert Morse Blalock Jr. (August 23, 1926 – February 8, 1991) was an American sociologist who was internationally known for his work on statistical research methods. He was a professor of sociology at the University of Washington, president of the American Sociological Association and a member of the National Academy of Sciences. According to the National Academies Press, Hubert Blalock "played a major role in shaping the field of sociology during the latter half of the twentieth century". He married Ann Bonar and had three children, Susan, Kathleen, and James.
