Hugh Waddell (13 November 1958 – 1 November 2019) was a Scottish professional rugby league footballer who played in the 1980s and 1990s at representative level for Great Britain, England and Scotland, and at club level for Blackpool Borough (c.), Oldham (c.), Leeds (Heritage № 1190) (c.), Manly-Warringah Sea Eagles (1989), Sheffield Eagles (c.), Wakefield Trinity (Heritage № 1043) (1993–94), Egremont Rangers (c.), South Wales (1996), Rochdale Hornets, Swinton Lions, Carlisle, Barrow (c.), and Border Eagles (c.), as a prop, or second-row.
