Ivailo Petrov (Bulgarian: Ивайло Петров) (19 January 1923, Bdintsi – 16 April 2005, Sofia) was a Bulgarian writer, who authored a number of short stories. He is one of the greatest writers in Bulgarian literature. His most famous work Before I was born and other stories describes the way of life and traditions of the Bulgarian people and his family in particular, living in a small village far away from the rest of the world.
