Jacquelyn Phillips Lacey (born February 27, 1957) is an American politician who has served as the District Attorney of Los Angeles County since December 3, 2012. Lacey is the first woman, and first African-American, to serve as LA District Attorney since the office was created in 1850. As a district attorney, she has been described as part of a "tough-on-crime" movement (in contrast to reformist-minded district attorneys).
