Lieutenant General Jagjit Singh Arora (Punjabi: ????? ???? ?????; February 13, 1916– May 3, 2005) was the commander of the Indian army in the Eastern front in the Indo-Pakistani War of 1971 which led to the creation of Bangladesh. He was born in Jhelum, British India (now, Pakistan) and died in New Delhi, India.
