Jalal Eyvaz oglu Allakhverdiyev (Azerbaijani: Cəlal Eyvaz oğlu Allahverdiyev; September 17, 1929 – January 19, 2017) was an Azerbaijani mathematician and a member of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences, which was called the Academy of Sciences of the Azerbaijan Soviet Socialist Republic in 1972. He is known for contributions to Functional Analysis, such as an important theorem known as Allakhverdiyev's theorem.
