James Floyd Scott FRS (born 4 May 1942 in Beverly, New Jersey - 6 April 2020) was an American physicist and research director at the Cavendish laboratory, Cambridge University. He is considered one of the pioneers of ferroelectric memory devices. He was elected to the Royal Society in 2008.
