James Parker Landis (July 20, 1843 – December 1, 1924) was a United States soldier who was recognized with his nation's highest award for valor, the U.S. Medal of Honor, for his gallantry during the American Civil War. While serving as the Chief Bugler of the 1st Pennsylvania Cavalry/44th Pennsylvania Volunteers as part of the Union Army, he captured the enemy flag during the Battle of Amelia Springs at Paines Crossroads, Virginia on April 5, 1865.
