Janez Stanovnik (4 August 1922 – 31 January 2020) was a Slovenian economist, politician, and partisan. He served as the last President of the Socialist Republic of Slovenia between 1988 and 1990. After 2003, he was the president of the Slovenian Partisan veterans' association.
