Jeanne Rorex-Bridges (also known as Jeanne Walker Rorex, born 1951) is painter and illustrator, who is a member of the Echota Cherokee Tribe of Alabama. Having won awards for her work in her early career, when the Indian Arts and Crafts Act of 1990 was passed, she was prohibited from exhibiting her work as a Native American artist. Though she could have sought certification to do so, Rorex believed it was a violation of her civil rights.
