Jennifer Carnahan (born 1976) is an American politician, and was the first minority Asian-American and female elected to run either major political party in Minnesota. She served as the chair of the Republican Party of Minnesota from 2017 to 2021. She resigned on August 19, 2021, after a high-ranking GOP donor and co-host of the MN-GOP podcast was indicted for sex trafficking of minors. Carnahan was married to U.S. Representative Jim Hagedorn who represented the Minnesota's 1st congressional district from 2018 until his death in February 2022. On March 14 2022, she declared her candidacy to fill her late husbands seat in the Repblican primary taking place on May 24th.
