James "Jim" Davies (born February 23rd 1882 – June 30th 1971) was a Welsh rugby union, and professional rugby league footballer nicknamed "The Dancing Master" who played in the 1900s, 1910s and 1920s, and coached rugby league in the 1920s. He played club level rugby union (RU) for Swansea RFC, and representative level rugby league (RL) for Great Britain, Wales and Yorkshire, and at club level for Huddersfield, as a stand-off, or scrum-half, i.e. number 6, or 7, and coached at club level for Keighley.
