James "Jimmy" Stein (born 7 November 1904, deceased) was a Scottish professional association footballer who played as a winger. Stein was a model professional who had the distinction of scoring Everton's first-ever goal at Wembley when he netted in the 1933 FA Cup Final. A Scotsman, he joined Everton from Dunfermline in 1928 and was part of the Blues teams that won the 2nd Division, 1st Division and FA Cup in successive seasons between 1930 and 1933. He moved on to Burnley in October 1936 before ending his career at New Brighton
