John Peter Cole, MD is a Hair Transplant Surgeon in Atlanta, Georgia. He is recognized as a pioneer in the industry, being one of the first U.S. doctors to practice both Follicular Unit Extraction (FUE) and Body Hair Transplantation (BHT).(1) Dr. Cole attended Mercer University on an academic scholarship from the United States Army. He graduated summa cum laude with a degree in biology and chemistry in 1981. In 1985, he received his medical degree from the Medical College of Georgia.(2) Dr. Cole completed his postgraduate medical training at the University of Missouri, in the field of internal medicine. He has dedicated his practice solely to the field of hair transplant surgery since 1990. (3) Dr. Cole was among the first thirty physicians to become a Diplomat of the American Board of Hair Restoration Surgery. There, he served on the Board of Directors and the examination committee.
