John Stehr (born August 20, 1958, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania), is an American television journalist. He recently retired as full-time lead anchor at NBC affiliate WTHR in Indianapolis, Indiana. He and his wife Amy reside in Zionsville, Indiana, and have five children. After 23 and a half years at WTHR, he retired on December 21, 2018, but has said that he will come back to WTHR from time to time as a fill-in anchor or to cover special events in Indiana in his role as “Anchor Emeritus”.
