Dr. Jon Nese, who grew up in Steubenville, Ohio, is a senior lecturer at Penn State University. He holds a B.S. (1983), an M.S. (1985), and a Ph.D. (1989) in Meteorology, all from Penn State. He has been a faculty member at the university first from 1989–1998, and then from 2005 to the present.
