Jonathan Michael Samet (born 1946 in Newport News, Virginia) is an American pulmonary physician and epidemiologist who serves as the Professor and Flora L. Thornton Chair of the Department of Preventive Medicine at the Keck School of Medicine at the University of Southern California. He is also the chair of the Clean Air Scientific Advisory Committee of the Environmental Protection Agency, as well as the Tobacco Products Scientific Advisory Committee of the Food and Drug Administration.
