Ekaterina Lee is a Russian singer-songwriter and fashion designer, professionally known as Katya Lee (Катя Ли), or KATYA. She began her career in 2006, after being discovered by a producer, while singing in a nightclub in Saint-Petersburg. The next day she was flown to Moscow, where she became a member of the nationally known pop/dance band Hi-Fi. Her first performance with Hi-Fi was on the Kremlin stage, which included a solo performance of the song Vzletai (Взлетай). With the introduction of KATYA, Hi-Fi changed their format and made her the first lead vocalist in the group's history. For the next four and a half years, she toured throughout the world, performing in more than 20 countries. Hi-Fi's music could be heard on all of the major radio stations across Russia, and KATYA was featured in magazines, on the radio, and in hundreds of television interviews. Hi-Fi performances were shown on: TV show saturday night live on Channel 2 Russia, TV show dance on MUZ-TV, New Year on NTV, tv show Comedy club on TNT Channel Russia, Uralskie Pelmeni (tv show).
